National Advisor Forum of Life Insurance Advisors ((NAFLIA) proudly held its congress for the 3rd consecutive year on 14th of October 2010 at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. NAFLIA is the Marketing arm of Insurance Association of Sri Lanka and it comprises of all the Marketing General Managers/Heads of the Life Insurers operating in Sri Lanka. NAFLIA Congress, which is being held with the objective of developing and recognizing the professionalism of the Life Insurance Advisors in the country, has now become an annual event in their calendar. This year the congress carried the theme “Opportunities, Challenges and Realities” which is a timely concept with the evolving external environment.
The top most exemplary Life Insurance Advisors, irrespective of to which insurer they are attached to, get the privilege of participating this prestigious congress. Dr. Wickrema Weerasooriya, the Insurance Ombudsman of Sri Lanka, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Two international guest speakers Mr. Erik Vos and Mr. Khor Han Heng, Mr. Ranjith Pushpakumara and also a well known figure in Sri Lankan Insurance Industry, Mr. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi added value to the event by sharing their knowledge to enhance the customer service and professionalism of the Life Insurance Advisors. Two priceless books written by Mr. Erik Vos and Mr. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi were presented to the participants. The event concluded with a panel discussion held on “Best Practices and Learning” with the participation of the ‘Top Achiever’ of each Insurer and was featured with knowledge, experiences and enthusiasm.
